A lot of people think staying lean requires perfect conditions, a perfect schedule, or hours in the gym.
That’s not my setup.
I work a warehouse job. I move all day. I’ve got responsibilities. And I still maintain around 12% body fat consistently.
The difference is simple—I built my lifestyle around it.
I Use My Work Ethic to My Advantage
The first perspective is this:
I’m a hard worker, so I use that.
I don’t wait until after work to “start being active.” I build it into my day from the moment I arrive.
- I park farther away on purpose to get my steps going early
- Every break, I walk to my car → that’s extra steps built in automatically
It’s not random. It’s intentional.
Those small decisions stack up over time.
I Stay Moving Throughout the Day
One of the biggest things I do is control how I move at work.
- I stay off the forklift as much as possible
- I use the pallet jack most of the day
- I only get on equipment when I actually have to (like putting things up high)
Everything else? I move it myself.
I also look for extra opportunities to go the extra mile.
Yes, that helps with calorie burn—but it also makes work flow better and sets up smoother days ahead.
So it’s not just about fitness. It’s about efficiency too.
My Food Is Already Planned
I don’t guess with my food during the day.
I already know what I’m eating.
- My snacks are pre-calculated
- My lunch is pre-calculated
- I leave a little wiggle room, but everything fits into my daily calorie budget
That way, I don’t have to make decisions on the fly.
I Avoid “Untrackable” Food
One of the biggest things that helps me stay consistent is this:
If I can’t calculate it, I usually don’t eat it.
That means:
- Skipping food trucks
- Passing on surprise donuts
- Saying no to cupcakes and random snacks
Not because I’m being strict for no reason—but because those things don’t fit into the structure I already set.
I Still Snack—But It’s Controlled
I do snack.
But it’s not random.
Every snack I eat is already accounted for in my calorie budget.
So instead of snacks throwing me off track…
they’re part of what keeps me on track.
Training Is Built Into My Routine
I train in the evenings.
My body is used to it at this point, so there’s no debate about whether I’m going to do it or not.
It’s structured just like everything else.
I focus on all major muscle groups using a simple split:
- Push
- Pull
- Legs
Nothing complicated—just consistent strength training.
My Job Covers a Lot of My Cardio
I get plenty of daily movement from work.
That constant activity adds up and handles most of my cardio without me needing to think about it separately.
So by the time I train, I’m already active.
That’s a big advantage.
I Keep Hydration and Supplements Simple
I don’t overcomplicate this part.
- I stay hydrated with water (sometimes with Crystal Light)
- I’ll use C4 energy drinks when needed
- I use protein shakes to help round out my macros
Just simple tools to support consistency.
It’s Built Into My Lifestyle
At this point, staying lean isn’t something I have to chase.
It’s already built into:
- How I work
- How I move
- How I eat
- How I train
So I don’t spend time worrying about results.
I just live my routine.
And the results come with it.
Final Thought
Maintaining 12% body fat while working a warehouse job isn’t about doing something extreme.
It’s about making small, consistent decisions that add up every day.
When your lifestyle supports your goal, you don’t have to keep starting over.
You just stay there.
